InterCall Web Meeting stands out for its expansive feature set, widespread program and platofrom integration, intuitive, almost instantaneous audio/video configuration and accelerated meeting set-up. While other programs like Adobe Connect Pro and GoToMeeting may be better suited for sales presentations and demonstrations, InterCall Web Meeting’s strengths lie in its interactive and collaborative tools and features that go beyond mere highlight tools and audience polls.

While InterCall lacks little in terms of conferencing, audio/video and security features, its pricing model, which involves billing codes and subscription rates that can incur associated costs that are difficult to estimate for cost, is fairly complicated and is likely to end on the pricier side when all factors are considered.

Conferencing Features:   Excellent

InterCall Web Meeting makes a strong case for itself with its conferencing features. Presenters can arrange and host meetings ad hoc without a reservation, or integrate with Microsoft Outlook and its calendar and scheduling functions, eventually linking users to the unique, secure URL where the meeting is held. There, hosts can give sales presentations, product demonstrations with a variety of tools to adjust the audience’s focus on the screen through force zoom/unzoom and share screens or browse the web with full, real-time synchronization with audience’s screens.

Presentation/Demonstration Features:   Excellent

With polling, public and private chat and shared applications, presentations and demonstrations, however pre-planned, remain flexible, allowing presenters to field questions or expand points. Best of all, with true audio broadcasting capabilities, even users not using VoIP or other telephony can listen to presentations and still offer feedback through audience tools and chat. Also, InterCall Web Meeting’s interface can also be customized to include brand or company logos or feature different colors.

Users have two program choices for attending meetings: light and full. Light offers partial

Audio/Video Features:   Excellent

In addition to telephony-free audio broadcasting, InterCall Web Meeting offers integrated audio options for VoIP, Call-in/Call-out, toll and toll-free services or any and all of them combined. InterCall is partnered with several teleconference services to make traditional, non-VoIP conferences seamless.

InterCall Web Meeting’s flexible video integration allows meeting current speaker’s video feeds to be presented or, several webcam feeds can be presented in multipoint to optimize whiteboard sessions. Also, like InterCall Web Meeting’s private chat and closed dialogue features, hosts can designate select videos to project in meeting places and hold private video conferences between other users.

Security Features:   Excellent

InterCall Web Meeting offers 128-bit AES encryption for users, with optional security passwords required for audiences to attend meetings. Web conferences can also be locked to prevent unauthorized access and prevent meeting disruptions.

With additional user profile and registration measures and full audits, logs and reports created for every meeting, InterCall Web Meeting strives to give meetings, their materials, its hosts and audiences the utmost protection.

Help/Support:   Excellent

InterCall offers a variety of technical support options and user resources that range from built-in help menus and instructional and accompanying PDF manuals and materials to online resources. InterCall’s official site dozens of technical support options and resources, including FAQ pages, how-to-guides, a knowledgebase, a training center and several product overview and troubleshooting PDF pages.

InterCall also offers assistance by telephone and email.

Summary:

For Web Conferencing, few offer features and tools as precise and expansive as InterCall Web Meeting. However, for many potential and current users, InterCall Web Meeting’s strengths might be eclipsed by its complicated pricing model. For those seeking a program with simpler pricing models, GoToMeeting sets the standard, offering its program and services at an upfront flat-rate.
